Answer

KOALA

A koala is a tree dwelling marsupial native to Australia. Despite often being called koala bears, they are not actually bears at all. The word comes from the Dharug language, an Aboriginal Australian language, where it originally meant something like no water or no drink, referring to the fact that koalas get most of their moisture from eucalyptus leaves.

Strategy Tip

Today's puzzle has three A's in it, including a repeated letter. When you see multiple vowels lighting up in your guesses, consider that some might appear more than once. Words with unusual double or triple letter patterns can be tricky, so trying vowel heavy words early can help reveal these patterns.
